Our history and Values

About us

Almes International School follows the Cambridge curriculum and is a home to children from different backgrounds and cultures. All children receive fair treatment while enjoying care and love from our highly trained teachers and caretakers. Child’s development and learning come to a core of our belief and we work tirelessly to ensure that our children grow in all dimensions that perfectly define both their childhood and their humanity. We carefully observe and facilitate their cognitive, physical, social and spiritual growth. At Almes we celebrate  each child who joins our family and we offer them an exceedingly care and support to make their world matter the most all the time they remain with us. The warm relationships that we create form unbreakable bond of our family that lasts even when the kids complete their levels of study at Almes.

Levels of study at Almes

Currently we offer Early Years Foundation Stage and Cambridge Primary International  Education.

  • Early Years Foundation Stage.

At this level, we receive children from one year to four years. We raise them up and guide their cognitive, physical and social development. To achieve this, our children learn literacy, arithmetic, social skills and physical activity to help them grow while active and healthy. All this is meant to prepare the children for the next level of study which is primary level of schooling.

  • Cambridge Primary

Children start primary at the age of five. The learning starts from grade 1 through to grade 6 where children sit for their Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations which are externally assessed. At Almes children learn mathematics, English and Science as compulsory subjects. We however are looking into the possibility of adding some few optional subjects.

  • Cambridge Secondary

No admissions available for secondary students at the moment. We are however working hard to erect more classrooms and we are looking forward to welcoming secondary students in the nearest future.

  • Our beliefs

At Almes we do believe that children grow and learn at different rates. We therefore come down to individual child by designing stimuli activities to spark and support their pace in learning.

We too believe that children learn through positive relationships which are to be created by caretakers, teachers and parents. Relationships that ensure permanent smile of the child’s face is our priority. We invest in professional and customer satisfaction in order to provide high profile services and high quality international education.

  • Safety and Child Protection

At Almes child’s safety is a top priority. We are committed to safeguarding and upholding the rights of children as stipulated in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). We too conform to the national policies about child rights. We have in place a blend of EuroChild and Save the Children child protection policy that guide our handling of children and their affairs.

At Almes we do not compromise with child abuse and neglect. Not now and never.
